Marielle Kleyn Winkel is a dedicated researcher, teacher, and entrepreneur with a profound passion for somatic movement and bodywork. She founded Movement Matters in Amsterdam in 2015, where she has since built a vibrant community and safe haven for individuals seeking holistic well-being. Under her leadership, Movement Matters grew into a team of skilled therapists from diverse backgrounds, offering various therapeutic and movement practices.

Professional Experience

• Movement Matters :
• Founder and Entrepreneur, leading a multidisciplinary team (2015-present).
• Rijksmuseum: Museum Guide, conducting tours in Dutch, German, and English (2012-2014).
• Stut Theater: Director, directing Community Theatre performances (2008-2010).

Teaching

• Movement Matters: Instructor, teaching somatic lessons and massage training (2016-2024).
• Lighthouse Works: Teacher and Practitioner, guiding groups and providing treatments (2013-2016).
• Somatics: Teaching in the Netherlands , USA, Germany, Greece.

Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theater and Education from HKU and a certification as a Massage Therapist from Esoterra.
