Project

Baar

The collective |BREEK| did a preliminary exploration into the amorphous
textures of landscape through physical improvisation. The project emerged as a
blend of experimental techniques influenced by Contact Improvisation, the Body Weather Laboratory, and Release Technique, aimed at uncovering new artistic
materials and aesthetic values.
performers took to the studio stage to showcase the culmination of their
collaborative exploration.

“I BAAR I” sought to engage audiences in a
proprioceptive experience, prompting a reflection on how minimalist means can
unveil the inherent beauty of body compositions.

This performance utilized a process of forming and deforming, mimicking the
continual reshaping of landscapes, to create a visceral experience of the
ephemeral and the structured. This method provided a framework for the
performers to navigate and sculpt their movements, drawing the audience into a
contemplative state of sensory awareness.
“I BAAR I” was an invitation to perceive the subtle interplay of body and space
through a lens of simplicity and introspection.
